Cricket (part I)
I watched this movie Iqbal a couple of days back... I like the movie for its simplicity and an inspiring message for those who want to be cricketers... I am a big fan of Nagesh and I like most of his movies... also Iqbal happens to be the first feel good movie after a string of disturbing and disgusting movies... I am not in a mood for any serious or "run around the trees" movies these days...
coming back to cricket it reminds me of my dreams of becoming the greatest fast bowler in the world... I always used to dream about some impossible maneuvers before it hits the off-stump (I like bowling on the off-stump)... the crazy bouncers which the keeper has hard time to catch and the big jump before releasing the ball... in my dreams I keep my three fingers on the seam and run fast, really fast and release the ball with a huge swing of my arm, the perfect good length ball coming on to the off-stump, swinging a little bit away from the batsman and kissing the off-stump with the bells on the ground... that is perfect... suddenly my mom is pushing to wake up after watching me move under my blanket... there ends the dream... it was fun... I would like to get back into cricket (watching) and enjoy the stats, chat... etc.
