May be next year...

Wanted to crib and didn't like the idea of piling on a friend writing all this. Remembered my old blog and here it goes.
I couldn't sleep last night thinking about the marathon (my first one) about to miss this weekend for reasons beyond my control. It is disheartening and is like falling flat on the ground before the finish line. However, on the positive side there were good things I learnt. Apart from everything I enjoyed running and especially running for a good cause. I would do so again if time permits ( I meant other constraints in life). Ran two half marathons but that wasn't the goal.
May be I will run a full marathon next year.

Am in India for almost 8 weeks now, the plan was to stay for four weeks but thanks to US goverment for not issuing the visa on time I am still here at home enjoying home cooked meals and all the pampering after a very long time. It will be really hard when I get back. I have become so lazy. Unlike my last visit, when I was busy meeting people on arrival and then again with all the farewell parties, this time around spent majority of my time at home. The timing of my arrival was incredible. First came Vinayaka Chaviti, great time to be in Hyd. Then Dassara, with kali idols and traditional bathakamma in Hyd. Oh, forgot to mention all the goodies I got to eat. It was major fun with friends and family. A couple of my friends came on vacation at the same time from overseas and it was nice meeting them after almost 7 years. Currently, I am preparing for my favourite festival deepavali. Though work is on the back burners I am glad and very happy to spend time here in India on deepavali.

Happy Deepavali to everyone. Adios....

@bal: Don't worry the goodies are on the way :)

@rajitha: A bit delayed but Happy diwali to you too :)... something new in Hyd I observed was that they have Kali pandals during dasara and on the 10th day the immersion takes place in Tank-bund just like the Ganesh idols'
